Mido 2016: Never Ending Wonder

From 27 to 29 February 2016 will not miss anyone: for companies around the world the fair is in fact the point of reference for the sector, to present the new collections, to debut and to introduce themselves to the world of eyewear.
“After a record 2015 – said the president of Mido Cirillo Marcolin – this edition promises to be exceptional: we had to add exhibition space because, in addition to the confirmation and returns of already exhibiting companies, more than 106 new companies have chosen to present to MIDO area and to propose their own collections. “.

The big news of Mido 2016 is the introduction of MORE !, satellite area of ​​the famous Design Lab that has always hosted the most daring and innovative companies, which will be connected by a tunnel. MORE! It began as a laboratory of ideas, concepts and experiments which will place the companies that make creativity, innovation projects and their strongholds. Among them, the exhibitors at the second edition of the Lab Academy, after the success of last year.

“This growth of MIDO confirms the happy moment that the sector is facing, especially among the great historical groups as among small and new businesses – said Giovanni Vitaloni, vice president of MIDO. To give just one example, the LAB ACADEMY – an area dedicated to beginners – this year they exhibit twice of las year companies, with 40 new realities facing the eyewear industry for the first time “.

The design and art will be featured within MORE! even with two exhibitions to be held during the days of MIDO: “Light, Eye Vision”, edited by Lucio Buratto with the young artists of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Florence, Milan, Naples and Turin, and the exhibition of eyewear Museum in Pieve di Cadore, to whom were selected over 100 of the best objects that trace the history of the world of eyewear.
